When it comes to Christmas gifts of the fabulous, scented, beauty kind, we think we have Christmas covered. We do beautiful gift sets filled with lovely, spoiling things - bath fizzers, hand creams, body care and more. We do smaller gifts and stocking fillers - lip balm compacts, crackers, travel-friendly hand creams...

But when it comes to Christmas wreaths for the front door… we’re always on the look-out for great finds. Modern wreaths are anything but traditional - pom-poms, glass baubles, winter fruit, felt, almost anything goes (we even found a Christmas pudding wreath). Here are some of the best we found (and some DIY tips too):

BAUBLES – Oka Tinio Wreath, Small, £29.

Fabulously festive, this Christmas wreath is made up of antique silver glass baubles set on an iron ring. It makes a stunning centrepiece for a yuletide table or a simple, contemporary wreath for the front door.

POM-POMS –Pom Pom Holiday Wreath, £76.54
the pom-pom trend this Christmas with a woollen pom-pom wreath like this one. We love how it’s a smorgasbord of colour adding a heap of festive flair. But even better (and cheaper), why not make one.

Our friends at John Lewis have this neat little step-by-step that’s easy to follow:
How to make a pom-pom wreath:
1) Using a pom-pom maker, prepare plenty of pom-poms (we needed about 45 for our 35cm diameter wreath)
2) Wind twin around a polystyrene ring until it’s completely covered
3) Fix your pom-poms to the wreath with glass-headed pins until there are no gaps showing
4) Finally, tie a length of ribbon in a loop to hand your wreath

What you will need:
Pom-pom maker
Polystyrene ring
Glass-headed pins
Length of ribbon
Plenty of coloured wool

WOOL FELT – this Alice Wreath from Anthropologie, £88  is pricey, but it’s for keeps. It is adorable for Christmas and also looks stunning whatever the season on an inside door to weave a little folksy spirit into the home. Check it out online.

FRUIT & BERRIES – this mouth-watering Luxury Fruit and Berry Wreath by the Christmas Home, £40 on Not On The High Street . It’s packed with seasonal apples, pomegranates and berries ready to enliven a Christmas front door. They look as good as the real thing.

PINE CONES – John Lewis & Partners Emerald Frosted Succulent Wreath, £43, is made of Alpine sedums and frosted pine cones and will add a stunning, elegant touch to your front door.
