Heathcote & Ivory's Cath Kidston toiletries and homeware range has been one of our most successful to date, so we thought we'd share with you a brief history of the company and how it came to be...
Cath Kidston began trading in London's Holland Park in 1993, and started by selling vintage fabrics, wallpapers and brightly painted junk furniture. Her original collections were inspired by memories from her childhood, which gave the products an intimate and charming appeal that has carried through to today's fashion ranges.
Cath Kidston: “I saw a gap in the market for fun, vintage product, not the grand, serious antiques and brown furniture of my parents’ generation or the much stylised modern minimalist look that was popular then, but something lighter, more fun and more affordable”.
She soon began designing her own products with distinctive floral prints that have come to epitomise the Cath Kidston range and look. This re-working of traditional English country house vintage style has been the cornerstone of the brand's success over the last 18 years.
Since this initial success, the Cath Kidston product range has been expanded greatly to include women’s fashion and accessories, children's clothing, and the Cath Kidston toiletries and homeware range – made exclusively by Heathcote & Ivory.
We're very proud to work with Cath Kidston to produce this fantastic range. Incorporating the original style of Cath Kidston with the quality ingredients and aromas found in Heathcote & Ivory's luxurious toiletries, has lead to the creation of a very special range that both companies can be truly proud of; the Cath Kidston toiletries and homeware range is fun, practical and original throughout.
